Defending your home with the right Tactical Shotgun.
We had a shooting a while back at the local Sheriff's office. The nut case was of regular build and was shot in the gut around his belly button region. The tactical shotgun used as a Remington 870. The tactical pump shot gun was loaded with 8 pellets.

This load, by the way is superb, quite likely the very best law enforcement loads, and one of the tightest patterning loads I have ever shot in any shotgun. It increases the safe usage of 12 gauge buckshot well out to 30 yards, and is great for headshots at seven to 10 yards, or a little further out in improved cylinder choke barrels. The 8 pellet load is really pretty good and has a very tight group. The round is perfect for head shots or shots out to thirty yards. It can be improved a lot more if you employ a choke.

At any rate, the nut job got his guts blown out his back side. Needless to say he was stopped in his tracks but did not cease to live.

Keep in mind, the load is called “buckshot” as it was originally used for eradicating giant animals, like buck deer, and in places like Africa sometimes tiger. It is impressive stuff. Legendary in terms of its killing and stopping power, buckshot is the shotgun round that people fear the most. Buckshot is for huge animals so for sure, it will do a number on people.

Most crooks are ignorant about the damage buckshot can cause. Make no mistake, it will punch right through you and leave nothing but a big hole and a puff of dirt in the background.

If you are concerned about the pellets going very far, you may consider a lower guage shotguns with significantly less power A lower powered handgun, which can still punch through a wall, but is only putting a single projectile at a time through it (assuming you are missing your meant target), may work out better for you, especially in an condominium where there are neighbors close at hand.Keep in mind, you want to kill and or stop the dangerous man and not you next door neighbor. Even then, you should restrict your pistol ammo selection to pre-fragmented ammo.

If over-penetration is not a problem, get some thing like a bad ass 12 guage loaded up with buckshot, that will handle any quandary, 2 legged or 4 legged.

The police society dumped the use of #4 buckshot as a duty load and went back to 00 buck when we began discovering that #4 wasn’t giving the sought after penetration. Rifle slugs are avoided unless you live in an area with huge 4 legged beasts.

When I bought my Tactical Shotgun, I ended up ordering it over the internet for much less. The majority of dealers in my vicinity wanted list price ... plus which did not set well with my financing plan. I purchased my Tactical Shotgun from Class 3 Weapons in Houston, Texas at a significant cost savings. Class 3 Weapons is at this time promoting their Tactical Shotguns at an aggressive pricing. Tactical Shotgun models start at an incredibly economical price of $269.00 according to their website.
